3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 713.1 apply to this document.

4 Designation Representation Method

The designation of steel is composed of three parts: the Chinese pinyin initial "Q" for yield strength, the specified minimum yield strength (specified plastic extension strength) value, the Chinese pinyin initials "GM" for "high manganese", and the Chinese pinyin initials "DR" for "low temperature vessel".

Example: Q400GMDR. Where: Q—Chinese pinyin initial for yield strength; GM—Chinese pinyin initials for "high manganese"; DR—Chinese pinyin initials for "low temperature vessel"; 400—specified minimum yield strength in MPa (Rp0.2).
